Keep Going!

Today’s post is a little heavier than I usually share — but it’s for the small business owners out there who might need to hear it.
When I say yesterday wasn’t the best day… that’s honestly putting it lightly.
Before I even get into this morning’s chaos, I want to share something a little unfiltered.
Yesterday the weight of trying to get my business seen hit the max of what I could mentally carry. If you run business social media accounts and don’t have a big ad budget, you probably know what I’m talking about. I recently learned that posts that look like ads can get pushed to the bottom of feeds if they aren’t paid for.
That realization felt heavy.
Not just because of the business side — but because of the hours we pour into creating, posting, and trying to be visible. I’ll be honest… social media exhausts me more than anything else I do in my business. I would much rather be outside in my yard or working in my little garage studio than staring at a screen.
And then there’s the mental side of it… wondering if maybe it’s not just the content that isn’t landing, but you as a person. I don’t need to be everyone’s cup of tea — I’ve made peace with that. But some days it still stings watching similar creators receive so much support while you’re quietly building behind the scenes.
And just when you think you’ve caught your breath — this morning I received another scam email pretending to be from Shopify saying something was wrong with my online store. If you’re a business owner, you know the ones… people trying to “fix” your website or get access to your owner account. The goal is always the same — get in and extract your financial information.
It’s exhausting navigating all of this while still trying to create, serve people, and build something honest.
So if you’re a small business owner feeling tired or unseen today — this is your reminder:
It’s not always you. The odds really aren’t stacked in our favor sometimes.
But I truly believe that giving up too soon could mean walking away from something God is still writing. And I’m not ready to close a door that He might still be opening.
So we keep going. One post, one order, one faithful step at a time.
